The client
K&A Fencing is a family owned, veteran operated fence contractor serving San Antonio, Cibolo and the surrounding Texas communities. The team installs quality wood fencing and handles fence repairs for homeowners and businesses, backed by liability insurance, a one year warranty and a five star rating on Google.
The business had the reputation and the craftsmanship. What it needed was a website that matched that quality, and a lead channel that put it in front of San Antonio homeowners at the moment they were ready to hire. This case study covers both.
Result: a website rebuilt to win work
The first job was the website. The previous site was a generic template that did little to reflect the quality of the business or convert visitors into enquiries. We designed and built a new one from the ground up.

The K&A Fencing website, before and after the rebuild.
The new site leads with a clear, local headline and a professional fencing company in San Antonio, and puts a free estimate form directly in the hero where a homeowner sees it first. Contact details sit in the top bar and the header, the services are laid out with real project photography, and dedicated sections cover why the business is trusted, what it offers, and the questions homeowners ask before they hire.
| Why the rebuild matters A fence company website is often the first impression a homeowner gets. The new site presents K&A as the established, trustworthy, veteran owned business it actually is, with a clear path to request a quote. It gives every visitor, whether they arrive from an ad, a search or a referral, a reason to get in touch and an easy way to do it. |
Result: 114 leads from Local Services Ads
Alongside the website, a Google Local Services Ads campaign put K&A at the very top of search and turned that placement into leads. Local Services Ads run on a pay per lead model, sitting above the regular ads and the map pack, and charge only when a real lead comes through, either a phone call or a message.
Over the reporting period, the campaign produced 114 charged leads, weighted toward phone calls, which are the highest intent contact a contractor can get.
| LEAD TYPE | LEADS | SHARE | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Phone calls | 71 | 62% | ||
| Message leads | 43 | 38% | ||
| Total charged leads | 114 | 100% | ||
| Why a phone-heavy lead mix is the outcome to want Most of these 114 leads arrived as phone calls, homeowners ready to talk about a project rather than forms that may never be followed up. The 43 message leads add a second channel, capturing buyers who prefer to text before they call. Together they gave K&A a steady stream of genuine, high intent contacts. | ||||
Result: at the top of search on nearly every eligible search
The leads rest on a strong visibility footprint. Across 7,109 ad impressions, K&A’s ad appeared above the free search listings on 96.49 percent of eligible searches, and held the very first ad position on 36.98 percent of them.

Google Local Services Ads account, search visibility over the reporting period.
| What a 96 percent top rate means in practice On more than 96 of every 100 eligible searches, K&A was sitting above the free listings, in the block a homeowner looks at first. On more than a third of searches it was the very first ad shown. For a local fence company, that is close to owning the top of the search results page at the moment people are looking to hire. |
Why it worked
- A website built to convert. The rebuild gave K&A a site that reflects the quality of the business and gives every visitor a clear, easy way to request a quote, so the traffic from ads and search actually turns into enquiries.
- Local Services Ads at the top of search. The paid campaign put K&A above the free listings on nearly every eligible search, and because it is pay per lead, it charges only when a real contact comes through rather than for clicks.
- A high intent, phone-heavy lead mix. Most leads arrived as phone calls, the contacts most likely to become booked fence jobs, with message leads capturing the homeowners who prefer to text.
- Trust signals front and center. A five star Google rating, veteran and family ownership, insurance and a warranty are all surfaced clearly on the new site, which is what turns a click into a call.
